The Intro: Spawn Point
December 10 2022 Winters of late 2022, I stumbled onto ChatGPT. I was 13, and honestly, it felt like magic — like an NPC suddenly became real and started chatting back. At first, I didn't even realize this was "AI"; it just felt alive.
A few weeks later, ChatGPT quietly became my most‑used site. I threw every random question at it, tested everything it could do. Sure, back then it was slower, clunkier, and nowhere near today's god‑tier level — but for me, it was insane. That was the moment I accidentally unlocked a new questline: an interest in AI.
What I didn't know? This same tech, if it keeps leveling up, could one day wipe out the entire player base — including us.
Level 1: Tutorial
AGI is the new hype stuck on every player who picked the "tech quest." But here's the funny thing: most players don't even know what AGI actually is.
AGI = Artificial General Intelligence. Basically, it's a theory — there's nothing in the real world called AGI (yet).
The idea? A piece of software that thinks like a human, learns like a human, and can teach itself new skills without hand‑holding.
Level 2: The Dread
When we talk about AGI, we mean a system that can do anything a potential human can do.
And that's what's making folks shit their pants — because they could be replaced by a machine that's way smarter than them... or possibly get kicked out of the world completely.
Yeah, it's the fear of catching a brutal L — but on a bigger picture: is AGI really that dangerous?
Level 3: The Cure
For decades, humanity has been trying to find a complete cure for cancer, transition entirely off fossil fuels, and end world hunger.
With all the inventions we've made so far, we still haven't solved these problems due to human limitations.
To tackle problems on this scale, we'd try to create something way more efficient than humans.
